Dual screen laptop: Is it more convenient than ordinary ones?


Estari Company based in Pennsylvania has created a really cool gadget laptop that has two touch-screens instead of one screen and a keyboard. Estari began its existence as a software company and now develops hardware. This company has created and patented dual-screen laptop. 2-VU is the name of this gadget and it has been created for the U.S. military. However, now it is being sold to ordinary people as well.The laptop is pretty powerful computer and its hardware is pretty new:


1.83 GHz Intel Dual Core processor
1 GB RAM memory
60 GB hard disk
2 15-inch displays
No ordinary mouse
No ordinary keyboard


Cool huh? Having 2 displays is very cool. First of all the area where you can see data or whatever there is what you are viewing is twice as big as it used to be. So here is where it beats an ordinary laptop with a usual keyboard. This means that you can watch a movie and your neighbor can read the news online on the same laptop at the same time. Not only are these but there are very many advantages that you get having 2 screens instead of one.You are going to have not just two screens, but they are also touch-screens and it means that you do not need any mouse or keyboard to work with it.


Touch-screens have become so popular these days that they have built some into the laptop.However, there are two problems that concern me about these touch-screens. One of them is the durability of such a screen. However, they should be durable; they have been intended for the military forces and they do need durability there. On the other hand this is a model for citizens and not the army.


The other thing that concerns me is typing. When you type using all the ten fingers you do not look at the keyboard. There are special buttons where you put your forefingers.


There will be no such thing on your screen so it would be kind of difficult to aim. The other thing about typing is feeling the other buttons. When I type I need to feel the buttons because I can miss them. However, I think that if you use it a lot you will eventually get used to all the inconveniences. It is actually for you to decide what you want. And it would obviously be cool if you show up somewhere with a piece of gadget like this one.


This is the only laptop that has two displays and it is only the beginning. Having such a monster gadget will cost you a lot of money. You will be able to buy it for $ 4,350 and it is not cheap. I would actually wait to buy this gadget because I think it is a bit too expensive for me.

HP's newest netbook, the Mini 1000, is lighter, svelter, stronger, better tasting, and yes, even cheaper than its predecessor.
